How you can help

Our shelter is part of the Cats Protection leading feline welfare charity. We are one of a network of adoption centres and volunteer-run branches covering the UK.

We rescue and rehome stray and unwanted cats in the Central Scotland area from our base at the Marion Hunter Cat Adoption Shelter which is situated in Fishcross on the A908 between Alloa and Tillicoultry.

The shelter and shop are open to the public on Thursdays and Fridays from 1-3pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm. We look forward to seeing you then.

A HOME, A GARDEN AND A SPECIAL SOMEONE - THAT'S ALL I WANT

Jessie at home
Hello, I'm Jessie and I really need to find a very special person to call my very own!
It's coming up to two years since I was first taken to one of the local vets as a stray. After that I came to the shelter and at first I was very
hopeful that I'd be chosen. But for some reason everyone just seemed to walk on by my pen without giving me a second glance.
I know I can be a bit of a prima donna and I admit I have my stroppy moments - especially first thing in the morning - but surely I deserve a chance at happiness too.
Because I was finding life in the shelter in close proximity to so many other cats a bit difficult, I am now with my lovely foster mum and she thinks I'm great! I can't stay here though because I need to get outside - and that's not possible here. So all I do is sit at the window and dream about the day when I can feel the sun on my face again and run about chasing butterflies.
I love playing with my toys and when mum comes home I carry my toy wand into the kitchen to let her know it's playtime. And I'm always at the door waiting for her to come in.
When I'm in the mood, I'll happily sit on her lap - and sometimes she gives me a little bit of cheddar cheese (if I'm a good girl).
There must be an experienced cat owner out there who can give me the love I so badly want. A quiet household with no children would suit me best. And I promise to try to be good... most of the time!Jessie on her chair

If you think you are that special person who could offer our Jessie a loving home then call Sandra on 01259 213692. It's becoming urgent that we move Jessie or rehome her. She needs an experienced cat owner with a quiet household who can read the signs before she has a strop and who will love her but be firm with her. We know you are out there somewhere!!!
